Samyuktha Mahadevan (she/her) is a program manager at the Karsh Institute of Democracy. Her work at the Institute is primarily focused on deliberative dialogue and civic education. For over two years, she has led the One Small Step initiative, which has engaged over 500 members of the UVA and Charlottesville community in meaningful conversations across difference. She has several years of experience in political and community organizing, specifically in grassroots advocacy and voter protection. Prior to working at the Karsh Institute, she was a campaign specialist for the League of Women Voters, where she worked with state leaders across the country on redistricting reform and digital outreach. She previously served as a field organizer for Elizabeth Warren’s presidential campaign in Nevada. Samyuktha holds a BA in International Relations from William & Mary.
